Business Information Management I (BIM) is a year-long course that counts as one credit toward high school graduation. BIM is an elective requirement for graduation in CISD. Students in BIM I will use desktop PCs with Windows 10. They will use Microsoft Office, G Suite for Education, Typing Club, Typing.com, and a handful of other web apps and programs.

Students will improve their touch keyboarding skills, in both speed, and accuracy. Students will apply these skills while producing various business documents. In addition to using complex word processing, presentation software, database, and spreadsheet tools, students will learn skills necessary to succeed in the business environment, such as leadership, collaboration, and communication.

Students will practice good communication skills and work collaboratively on projects in class. BIM I will encourage students to apply time-management techniques, prioritization, and effective work habits. Learning these skills will empower the students to be successful in an ever-changing world.

Our purpose is to empower and inspire all to reach their fullest potential.
