About Us

The CHS Robotics team was founded in September 2016 by passionate Canton High School students. Since then, it has participated in three tournaments and continues to grow its membership and mission.

The CHS Robotics team is a student-led endeavor, giving team members a chance to set their own goals, learn teamwork, and take on leadership roles. The goal of CHS Robotics is to continue STEAM programs into high school and inspire a lifetime of curiosity.

Meet the leaders

Mr. Jon Bishop, Team Advisor

Mr. Bishop has been working with Canton STEAM programs since 2015, but has been participating in STEAM related programs since childhood. As an advisor, Mr. Bishop helps guide the team and appeal for grants for future activities.

Cole Glasgow, Team Captain

I am one of the returning team members from last year, and the only one that has been on the build team both years. I have always been interested in exploring technology, and so joining the robotics team was a great choice. I am a part of many extracurricular groups, but robotics is the one that I am the most heavily invested into by far.

Richie Kupec, Head Driver

My name is Richie Kupec. I have lived in Canton, CT all my life and have traveled to many different places. I love to game and it's my number 1 hobby as I enjoy it more than most things. I have played Xbox since I was 9 years old and continue to learn about computers and video editing. I love video editing as you can express your talent and skill with anything. I hope to learn more through my experiences with robotics.
