Use these sites for an elevated google search.  remember, these search engines are still not as reliable as a database so be sure to read everything with a critical eye.

A student friendly search engine comprised of fully vetted websites.  Sweet Search was created by librarians, educators, and researchers to give students a safe place for reliable research.  It includes a section for easily accessible biographies of noteworthy people.

This is a simple search engine to research scholarly information.  Google Scholar contains articles, books, theses, court opinions, etc. from credible sources.  Not all material will be available full text.

Use this resource to find historical documents, photos, and records, in addition to many different primary sources and military records.

This is the largest library in the world and you can access some of their millions of books, recordings, photos, newspapers, maps, and manuscripts right on their website.

This is a source with over 200 pieces of information about the Supreme Court Cases between the years 1791-2017.

Paperity is a collection of open (free) access to thousands of multidisciplinary articles.
