Grade 6
Welcome to the 6th grade and to the Galvin Middle School! We are so excited to have you join our school community. As a 6th grade student, you will be on one of our three teams: Galaxy, Meteorites, or Supernova. Each of them is "out of this world"!
As a 6th grader, you will take the following classes:

In addition, as a 6th grade student, you have the opportunity to take band, orchestra and/or chorus.
As a 6th grade student, you will engage in at least four interdisciplinary projects. Each one will help you master core content standards and develop desired student outcomes such as: Content Literacy, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Perseverance, Self Awareness, and Empathy. Examples of the projects that you may participate in and the driving questions that you may work to answer are:
The Un-Museum Project: How can we, as young historians, archeologists, paleontologists, anthropologists, and geologists, use artifacts to uncover stories of the past?
Building an Ideal Middle School: How can we, as middle school students, design an environment that is more learner-centered?
What Is My Influence: How can we, as Galvin Middle School students, influence change throughout Canton and our surrounding communities?
