Engaged residents who understand the value of trees play a key role in sustaining a thriving urban forest. Canopy’s adult education programs equip residents to become tree stewards and advocates in their own communities and beyond, and inspire people of all ages to explore nature. Read more

Canopy's mission has always been about people as much as trees. With the return of in-person work, we've taken time to retool and reimagine Canopy's programs, building in new ways to listen to local partners and residents, and to care for each other while we care for our community trees. Read more

Many years of Canopy and partner advocacy came to fruition this year with two major milestones: a visionary Urban Forest Master Plan adopted by the City of East Palo Alto and a long-awaited update to the City of Palo Alto's Tree Ordinance. Canopy also continued and deepened partnerships with nearby cities and neighborhoods. Read more
