Check out the other activities listed below for you to do inside or outside your home.
Safety is important! Always get permission from your parents first before doing these activities.
Get empty laundry detergent or other plastic bottles for pins.
Use a playground ball or make your own bowling ball out of paper or roll up an old T-shirt, then use masking tape or duck tape around it to secure the shape
Use an underhand roll when rolling towards the pins; Start close at first, then move back as you get better
Make it "fitness fun" -so every time you roll, do an exercise 5 times
Bear Walk from one spot to another spot 10 feet away
Make a line on the floor and jump sideways back and forth over it 10 times (use tape, pool noodle, or a stick)
Do an army crawl in a safe spot inside your house or outside
Balance: Stand on one leg and then bring your other leg up to your chest and "bear hug" it for 10 seconds & then switch legs
Pretend you have a rope and jump 10 times -make it harder and do the criss-cross trick
Ball sit-ups: Sit on the floor, hold a ball in both hands, tap ball to the floor between your legs, lower your back to the floor still holding the ball, reach back and touch the ball to the floor behind your head. Then sit up and touch the ball to the floor between your legs. Do 10 of these fun sit ups
Inside soccer dribble: Dribble your ball with the inside part of your feet using 10 easy soft foot taps
Catching: Toss the ball back and forth from one hand to the other hand; Do 10 toss & catches
Planks: Get in the plank position and roll the ball on the floor between your hands back and forth; Left hand to right hand, then right hand to left hand, etc. Do 10 ball taps
Jumping Jacks: Do regular or the Inside-Outside ones (more challenging); Do 10
Target practice: Use a box or laundry basket and toss your ball into that target. Do 10 tosses; If too easy, move back farther. Use opposition when throwing underhand
Duck walk, seal walk or carioca (karaoke) back to the area where you started or go 10 steps in any direction you choose
Finish with side stretches, then touch your toes and do 3-5 deep breaths inhale and exhale
