At CAMS, we believe in the power of student voice. Our student empowerment groups provide leadership, mentorship, and community-building opportunities that help shape the heart of our school. These groups are open to all students who want to lead, support their peers, and make a lasting impact.

CSU - CAMS Student Union

Our official student government, led by elected student leaders.

What they do:

Represent the student body

Plan school initiatives

Voice student concerns and ideas to school leadership

BGU - Brown Girls United

A sisterhood that celebrates and empowers young brown women.

What they do:

Build confidence and leadership

Provide a safe space for open conversation

Host events to support the cause

***Connect with other girls, uplift one another, and grow together.***

CMI - CAMS Male Initiative

A brotherhood committed to leadership, identity, and success for young men of color.

What they do:

Mentoring and team building

Open discussions about life, leadership & goals

Community Service

Student Peer Mediators

A group of trained students who help resolve conflicts between peers.

What they do:

Mediate student disputes in a respectful, private setting.

Promote peace and understanding

Offer respectful leadership to peers

Student Peer Mentors

A group of students who support others academically, socially, and emotionally.

What they do:

Offer peer to peer guidance

Welcome and support new students

Help build a positive school environment
