Hayden Ziegler, Senior : Hello everyone, my name is Hayden Ziegler! This will be my fourth year involved in Mini-THON here at Camp Hill High School. In my first year, I served as a committee member for the registration & chaperone committee. Then, two years ago I earned the opportunity to be a captain of that same committee, having one of the coolest leadership experiences of my life. I then made the jump from captain to overall this past year, where somehow I had an even more amazing experience than ever before. Finally, I stand here today beyond grateful to return as one of our four overalls for our school's Mini-THON. I am incredibly excited to finish my Mini-THON legacy here at Camp Hill, as I am grateful to work with some of my best friends and advisers while knowing I have such an amazing community to support me the whole way.
There is so much emotion that comes out of me whenever I get the chance to say I am involved in this amazing cause. One of the biggest reasons I started involving myself in this program was the desire to help those who need the most in our world. As a rising senior with awesome friends, family, health, and a community that supports me, I recognize that some people are not as lucky as myself in this world. There are people out there that need an extra hand to keep going. Specifically, lots of children across the world battle with cancer, and as a result their families are dealt with unimaginable expenses. To that, I will be the first volunteer to do whatever I can to raise money for these struggling families that do not deserve the stress of having to worry about paying bills instead of a loved one battling pediatric cancer. Whatever it is that these families need, I will, just as the rest of my community will, take on those expenses the best we can through awesome courage and strength.
This year I look to build awesome relationships with people so that I can say I worked my hardest to help those who need the most support. Alongside that, I represent a whole team of others who seek the same goals as me in order for us to unite as one and fight back against pediatric cancer.
Lindsay Johnson; Junior: Hi everyone, my name is Lindsay Johnson and I am a junior at Camp Hill. Three years ago, I joined Camp Hill Mini-THON as a Special Events committee member. Following that first year, I became a captain of Special Events my sophomore year. And now as a Junior, I am honored to be an Overall for our Mini-THON program in Camp Hill. Since elementary school, I have looked up to those who have run and participated in the organization and fun that Mini-Mini-THON entailed, and now I enjoy being part of what I looked up to as a kid.
As a kid in elementary school, participating in the mini-mini-THON that our High School ran began to open my eyes to the impact our small school could have on children in need. I remember missing my fifth-grade mini-mini-THON and being able to join the big kids at the middle school for their mini-THON. Being able to experience the larger scale of the event I adored opened my eyes to how big this was for our school. And ever since I have fallen in love with the impact we make on people in need and spreading that passion amongst the people of our community.
I am elated to continue to make a large impact while being an Overall, this year and growing our program one year at a time. It feels amazing to work with such a hard-working leadership team this year. I can't wait to see the immense impact we continue to make in the future!
Corrine Bauman, I wanted to be involved with our Mini-THON for so many reasons. I never want a family to have to fight a difficult battle alone, and NEVER should the cost of treatment determine IF a family can access that treatment for their child. I believe that everyone can make a difference when they are given the chance. I have experienced firsthand that our students are capable of greatness when we believe in them. Being an Adviser gives me the privilege to give our students the opportunity to make an incredible impact within our community and for Four Diamonds. Being a Mini-THON adviser has been one of the most inspiring and enjoyable experiences of my life.

Mini-THON is such an amazing cause, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. Having had students fight the battle with cancer and seeing how it affects them and their families is heartbreaking. Nobody should have to suffer alone, and Four Diamonds does so much to help children and their families focus on the important things. We continue this fight to someday find a cure, and hopefully what we are doing now will impact those in the future who will never have to be put in those situations. Being an advisor for Mini-THON gives me the opportunity to help in a cause I believe in as well as help teach our high schoolers how important their role in it can be. They are so inspiring to watch as they grow into amazing leaders who will someday change the world. I love being a part of something so significant in our community!
Jeanine Dormer, I wanted to be involved in Mini-THON because during my senior year in college, I danced in THON at Penn State. It was the hardest yet most rewarding experience to date. I still have a very close relationship with my Four Diamonds child. I'm grateful that I can help high school students develop love, leadership, and passion towards a cause bigger than themselves. FTK
Brittney Gottdiner, I wanted to be involved in Mini THON because no family should have to go through a hard time alone. I can’t even imagine how scary it would be for both the kids and the families involved. The last thing these families need to worry about is money. Watching these high schoolers' leadership and caring hearts is inspiring!
