Because it is impossible to maintain safe social distancing recommendations in vehicles, school divisions should not be providing behind-the-wheel instruction until safe social distancing recommendations are amended or lifted.
If a student was on track to graduate on March 13, 2020, they will graduate and their grades will not be negatively impacted by the closure. The materials being distributed now are for continued learning and we strongly encourage everyone to actively participate; however, they are not required for graduation.
Students in grades 9 -11, enrolled in a class with an end-of-course SOL test, will have the testing requirement waived. Students who are on track to be promoted to the next grade level will be promoted.
Schools are not accessible to the public as we are practicing social distancing and trying to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, administrators are working and receiving calls to facilitate distance learning and answer any other questions during this closure. Students will be allowed to get their belongings that may have been left at the school when it is deemed safe to do so by the Governor of Virginia.
Students and parents are encouraged to contact their home school if they do not have internet access. Arrangements will be made for printed resources to be made available to those students.
Due to safety concerns, the April 22, 2020, Pre-K Screening has been postponed. However, you can still have him/her considered for our program since admittance is based on information we obtain through an online survey. Go to the Campbell County website Pre-K Screening Page and you will find information for Pre-K screening as well and frequently asked questions. Please follow the steps to complete the online survey so that your child can be considered for a spot in one of our Pre-K classrooms for next year. As soon as it is safe to do so we will schedule a time to have you bring required documents and have your child screened.

Graduation supplies will be distributed to seniors once we are allowed to resume normal operations.
Yes, please call the school and make arrangements to pick up any medications that may have been left at the school.
No, the work provided by our teachers is intended to allow students the opportunity to continue their education. Completion of the work will be monitored, and feedback will be provided; however, it is not graded. Students are encouraged to complete their work and ask teachers for guidance if they have questions.
Yes, schools are contacting parents/guardians individually for the purposes of setting up and conducting IEP meetings.
Unfortunately, the free SAT being offered to students this Spring will not take place. Parents and students should visit the College Board website for information regarding additional testing. If possible, we will offer the SAT in the Fall of next year. Rising seniors planning to go to college should pursue SAT information from College Board.
Yes, College Board has informed us of plans to allow students to take an abbreviated version of the AP tests at home. Please visit the College Board website for more information and your child’s AP teachers will also be reaching out with more information.
Third nine weeks grades will be available on Parent Portal on Monday, April 6, 2020. Final grades will be made available later in the spring.
