Hello!
I wanted to take a moment to welcome all of my sixth grade language arts and social studies kids! I am really looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow. My number one goal this school year is to help you have a successful, happy & positive experience at school. I will do anything I can to help you, so please always communicate with me to let me know how I can support you or if you need anything at all.
Sixth grade is such an exciting year. You are in a new school, have new classmates, and have many opportunities to get involved in sports, leadership, clubs, and other fun activities. I know it is a bit scary at first, but in no time you will be feeling great at Price!
I only have two rules in my class and they are: WORK HARD & BE KIND! These are both very important to me. If you can follow these, we will have a wonderful year together!
Normally you won’t have homework on the weekends, but this weekend you do!
Your homework this weekend will be to:
Give your parent/guardian the syllabus that will be sent home on Friday and go over it together.
Get the supplies listed below (The Dollar Store is GREAT!) OR email me if you need help getting your supplies and I will help you!
REQUIRED SUPPLIES:
2 spiral notebooks (Language Arts & Writing)*None needed if you only have SS with me*
2 pocket folders (Language Arts & Social Studies)*Only ONE if you only have SS with me*
Pencil pouch or box
Glue sticks (3 or 1 jumbo)
1 pack of colored pencils
Pack of pencils
Highlighters in yellow, pink, and green (blue, optional)
Note: An agenda and chromebook will be provided & both are required at school EVERY SINGLE day.
CLASSROOM DONATIONS-Optional, of course!:
Pencils
Kleenex
Hand Sanitizer
Clorox Wipes
Any extras from the required supplies list to donate to a student in need
Your parents/guardians have homework, too!
Parents & Guardians, please send me an email within the next couple of days IF:
1)Your child has any special needs including a 504 or IEP. 2) Your child is going through anything with which they may need extra support & patience. 3) You have any questions, concerns or anything else you’d like to share.
