WHAT IS BUILDERS CLUB?
“Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high students, with more than 45,000 members worldwide. Members learn to work together and develop servant-leaders skills as they serve their school and community.” –Builders Club website
2024-2025 will be our 7th year for Builders Club at Skyridge. We have an excited group of students who want to make a positive impact on others’ lives. We’re looking for students who are interested in participating in volunteer opportunities at Skyridge and within the community. The students learn to give of themselves and see hard work is rewarding, especially when the end result is beneficial to other people. Fun Fact-Skyridge has the only Builders Club chapter in the Clark County area! Our students are making a difference in others' lives and are developing leadership qualities through their service to Skyridge and the Camas community.
Some activities Builders Club participated in:
Our club participated in Wreaths Across America. Its primary activity is distributing Veteran's wreaths for placement on graves in military cemeteries.
Builders Club students organized and operated a concession stand for home sporting events.
A group of students volunteered for the Camas Clean-Up Event in downtown Camas. The kids pulled weeds, cleaned up leaves, and raked flowerbeds.
Builders Club students sorted toys for the Camas-Washougal Fire Department’s C.A.R.O.L. toy drive. Students packed toys for families in need within our community.
Builders Club students worked in our garden area behind the LMC and the club purchased tables for students to enjoy eating outside when the weather is nice.
We meet every other Tuesday morning in Mrs. Cooper’s room. All are welcome to participate and 2025-2026 is our year to make more of an impact on others’ lives! Please join us!
Builders Club students visited The Quarry assisted living facility and played a great game of Bean Bag Baseball together.
