FAQs

When can I order? Should I preorder?

Find ordering dates on our home page. All books are purchased through the ASB window. And, YES you should preorder a book. At Camas we have a proud community who LOVES to commemorate their years here, so we sell TONS of yearbooks. Once the books are gone, they're gone. We don't do reprints. A preorder guarantees you a copy of the yearbook. Don't miss out.

How can I check if I ordered a yearbook?

Desirae Sehon in the ASB Office can provide this information.

How can I check if I ordered a senior ad, or if my senior photo has been received?

Email yearbook adviser Kate Gooding.

When will yearbooks be available?

Yearbooks are available for pick up during the final week of school.

Who should buy this book?

You! Our yearbook isn't just a collection of your fellow students and friends, it's a capsule of memories. You'll be able to flip through the pages and remember the win at the big game, that hilarious school play, or even a friend you lost touch with. The CHS Yearbook is an investment in fond memories for years to come.

Do you sell surplus yearbooks?

Absolutely. If we have extras, we will sell them. But, we rarely have extras.

Do surplus yearbooks cost more than pre-ordered yearbooks?

No, but there is no guarantee that we'll have a surplus, so don't count on buying extras. There might not be any extra.

Do I get a discount for purchasing surplus or multiple yearbooks?

No.

Yearbooks are sold out. Can you just order some more?

We cannot buy more books than are printed. We sell books from early June until we sell out. We send marketing emails all year long in order to remind families.

What if I pay extra? Can I get just one more book, even if they're sold out?

To run a reprint of the book, they cost $400 each for a minimum run of 20 books and if there were a second run, all 20 books would have to be paid for in advance.

I received a damaged yearbook. What can you do?

Unfortunately a few book are always damaged in transit. Make sure to check your yearbook upon receipt, so you can exchange it immediately if you notice any issues. If you notice damage later, come to Ms. Gooding's room, 108, before the school year is over to exchange your yearbook for an undamaged yearbook (I won't be available for summer transactions). We have extras, outside of our surplus, that are specifically set aside to exchange for damaged yearbooks. These books will never be for sale, so you are guaranteed a mint copy. 'Damage' covers physical damage to the yearbook due to shipping, not content you don't like, owner-inflicted damage, or minor manufacturing flaws.

There is an error in the yearbook. This could be a misidentified photo, a misspelling, or inaccurate information. I just noticed. What can I do about it?

We are sorry. This is a student-run publication, and fewer than 20 students create the entire 240+ page book. There will be errors. I suggest your student sign up for yearbook next year to help us make our book even better!
