2021 is now behind us, and we are stepping into a new year full of unknowns. But even though it feels like uncertainty going into this year, we can confidently go into it knowing that the Lord is with us. So as we take a leap of faith into 2022, let us pray that the Lord will strengthen us to follow Him in whatever He calls us to this year.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says,
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
It's a new year! Time for new horizons, New Years resolutions, and much more! But through all of this, we still need to remember God, and that He is in control. Personally, my New Year's resolution is to excel in schoolwork, and grow closer to the Lord. But most important of all is, to grow closer to the Lord! With everything that is happening in society, we just have to remember that God is in control. Say it with me, "But, God." All the nonsense we have gone through these last two years really put a damper on things. . . But, God. Finals are next week and I am really stressed. . . But, God. I have recently lost a loved one. . .But, God. There is a city not too far from me that has recently burned to the ground. This city contains over 100,000 people. Nearly 1,000 homes were lost in this fire. But we have to remember. . . But, God. Only 3 casualties were reported. With a population that big? God definitely worked there. So with this new year, I pray that all of you reading this remember, God is in control of everything, and He will continue to provide! Stay in the word, and remember... But, God.
