CLASS RULES AND DRESS CODE

1. Clothing should be loose fitting, comfortable and opaque
2. PINK Leather or canvas ballet shoes are REQUIRED.
3. Jazz shoes are recommended for the second semester – barefoot is the option
4. A leotard is REQUIRED—any color/style is fine
5. A tank top or t-shirt should be worn over the leotard for students grades 3rd-8th
6. Loose fitting Yoga Pants, Sweat Pants or Shorts need to be worn over the leotard
7. Hair needs to be tied back neatly; short hair needs to be secured with a clip or headband
8. NO PRINCESS OR DRESS UP costumes or play clothes
9. ALL DANCERS MUST BE PREPARED for every class or they will not be permitted to take class ---- NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
10. IMPORTANT: If a dancer is consistently unprepared, a “progress report” will be sent home to be signed. If there is no improvement, the dancer will not be permitted to participate in the Dance Recital.

I appreciate your cooperation in dressing appropriately while dancing and worshipping the LORD. I feel that God has shown me the importance of modesty in this ministry.

Ballet Shoes can be found at Payless Shoe Stores, Trevose Shoe Store (Brownsville Rd) Kixs and Splits (York Rd.) or purchased on line. Some good sites for shoes and dance apparel are: DiscountDance.com, Dancedistributors.com, and Justforkixx.com. Be sure to purchase shoes made of leather or canvas. Check sizing carefully if ordering on line.

Bedroom type slipper ballet shoes are NOT appropriate and are unsafe for class use

If your daughter has ballet or jazz shoes that she has outgrown, please consider donating them to the school. I will keep them in the classroom for any student who cannot afford to purchase a pair of their own.
