This note is to explain a portion of 3A’s homework schedule. I believe knowing in advance what your child will be expected to complete each week will help you with your daily schedules. I know that juggling church, sports practices, grocery shopping, and many other things can be difficult. Below is a listing of my weekly homework assignments. This does not include review assignments or special projects/reports that we will be doing throughout the course of the year. For these reports you will be given ample notice. Please write me a note or contact me if you have questions regarding your child’s homework.

Math Drill Sheets – I will send home a laminated drill sheet with addition on one side and subtraction on the other. Students may use a washable marker on the laminated sheet, be drilled orally, or use flash cards. The objective is to have your student know their basic facts quickly and accurately. We will begin multiplication shortly. 5 minutes per night is great!

Spelling – Words will come home each week. Students are to use the list of words that is circled to complete their spelling homework. (Mon., Tues., Thurs.) (*words are also found in Spelling Word List.)

Social Studies & Science – I will announce tests at least a week in advance. Students will then bring their notes/study guides home. Please review each night (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) and any additional nights that you feel necessary before a test.
