I am looking forward to having you in my third grade class. This coming year promises to be fun and exciting. We’ll tour the planets, take a good look at many of the creatures on ours, and write stories and poems about what we see. We’ll see how surprising the lives of the Bible characters really were. I am praying that you will be ready to begin this new adventure in learning with me.
Let me tell you a little bit about your new teacher. I have four children, and two wonderful son-in-laws and a lovely daughter-in-law. Wait there’s more; I have seven adorable grandchildren! And number 8 arriving in February!
Here’s a little known secret about me -- I love to run. I’ve run a marathon -– that's 26.2 miles! In the spring I run in the Broad Street run in Philadelphia. It is 10 miles and is really fun. I'm a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. I've taught elementary school children in England, Connecticut, California, Utah, and New Jersey. Now I’ll be teaching you in Pennsylvania. This is my 24th year at CCA!
My husband, Dr. Barnhart, is a psychology professor. He loves to visit and especially loves sharing about how our amazing brains work!
