Frequently Asked Questions

Secure Browser

What is the Secure Browser and Why do we use it?

The secure browser is a safe site that is downloaded on the computer and is used for state testing. This allows the computer to only have open the testing platform and nothing else to make it a secure testing environment for our students.

Where do I go to download the Secure Browser for my student?

If my student downloaded the Secure Browser last year, do I to re-download it for them again this year?

Yes! Every year a new and updated Secure Browser is released. For a successful testing session, you will need the latest Secure Browser. You can download the Secure Browser using the guides on the Secure Browser page.

To remove the old Secure Browser, please delete it and re-download the file. For more details on how to re-download it, please follow the instructions on the Secure Browser page.

What do I need to have in order to experience a successful testing session?

*For specific instructions to download and run the Secure Browser on your device, please check the detailed instructions on the Secure Browser page.
