All high school seniors are required by law (AB 469) to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA), or complete an Opt-Out form (English opt-out) (Spanish opt-out). **The FAFSA should be completed by students who are US Citizens and certain visa holders and the CADAA should be completed by students who are undocumented. Ask your counselor if you are unsure which form you should complete.

*Keep an eye on your email - FSA (Federal Student Aid) will be sending the SAR (Student Aid Report). When you get your SAR, review it carefully to make sure it’s correct. The school(s) you listed on your FAFSA form will use your information to determine your eligibility for federal—and possibly nonfederal—financial aid. A school may ask you to verify the accuracy of your FAFSA data, so you need to be sure the information is correct.
