How did Caledonia Convenient Care get started?
Caledonia Convenient Care grew naturally out of Traveling Health, LLC, founded in early 2025. At that time, Amanda was rounding at multiple skilled-nursing and rehabilitation facilities across Wisconsin and providing many visits through telehealth.
As word spread, members of the local community began reaching out, asking if she could provide in-home visits — often paying out of pocket because they didn’t have insurance or wanted that “old-fashioned medicine” experience where care comes directly to the patient. Those requests inspired the creation of Caledonia Convenient Care.
After Amanda had already secured office space in Caledonia in August 2025, she later learned — purely by coincidence — that a local clinic would soon be closing. This unexpected news confirmed the community’s need for more accessible, hometown healthcare. The clinic officially opened its doors in October 2025, and since then Caledonia Convenient Care has remained focused on meeting patients where they are — in the clinic, through telehealth, or even at home.

Do you take walk-ins?
Patients are asked to call or schedule ahead, since Amanda currently sees every patient personally. Same-day — and often “see you in 10 minutes” — appointments are available. Calling ahead ensures that:
• The right supplies are available for your visit
• The provider isn’t out rounding at a facility or home visit
Caledonia Convenient Care is happy to accommodate you whenever possible — just call, and the team will get you in quickly.
Do you take same-day appointments?
Yes! Same-day appointments are almost always available. Simply call the clinic, and Amanda will do her best to see you right away.
How can I schedule an appointment?
You can call or text the clinic line to schedule. Messages are checked frequently, and patients typically receive a prompt response.
What are your payment options?
Caledonia Convenient Care accepts most major insurance plans, credit cards and also offers cash-pay options for those without insurance/high deductibles.
Do you see patients from out of town?
Yes. Telehealth services are available to patients located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa, depending on insurance and eligibility.
What types of visits do you offer?
Caledonia Convenient Care provides both primary care and convenient (urgent) care services, including:
• Chronic-condition management (diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, etc.)
• Preventive care and physicals
• Vaccines and lab work
• Urgent visits for colds, flu, sore throat, ear infections, rashes, UTIs, sprains, nausea, allergic reactions, and more
What ages do you see?
Amanda currently provides care for patients ages 13 and older.
The clinic is also credentialing Pediatric Provider, (Alicia Strong FNP, AGACNP) who will begin seeing children under age 13 once credentialing is completed — anticipated by December 1, 2025.
Can Caledonia Convenient Care be my regular primary-care provider?
Yes. The clinic provides ongoing primary care for individuals and families — not just urgent visits. Patients can establish care for long-term wellness and follow-up.
Do you provide lab services or testing?
Yes. The clinic offers a variety of on-site and point-of-care testing, including strep, flu, COVID, INR, and virtually any labs.Â
Do you provide INR testing for patients on Coumadin or Warfarin?
Yes. Caledonia Convenient Care offers in-office (results within minutes) INR testing for patients taking Coumadin (Warfarin).
Results can be faxed directly to your cardiologist or managing provider, or managed here in-house as part of your ongoing primary care.
For Caledonia Convenient Care established primary-care patients, INR testing is provided at no additional cost — insurance is simply billed for the lab.
If Caledonia Convenient Care is not your primary-care provider and coordination with another provider is required, a cash coordination fee applies.
This fee helps cover the time and costs involved in managing the test — including coordination with outside providers, courier and shipping supplies, and specialized in-house testing equipment.
Unfortunately, billing insurance for these independent coordination services does not adequately reimburse for the provider’s time or operating costs. Charging a modest cash fee allows the clinic to continue offering this service affordably and conveniently to our local community.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. Telehealth visits are available for both urgent and follow-up care when appropriate, providing convenience for patients throughout MN, WI, and IA.
Do you offer home visits or facility visits?
Yes. In addition to clinic appointments, Amanda also rounds at skilled-nursing facilities, assisted-living communities, and residential recovery programs throughout the area.
In-home visits are available for patients who have difficulty traveling to the clinic.
If you have a family member or loved one in a local facility, simply ask the Facility Administrator if Amanda can provide care there — she’s happy to coordinate and travel to the facility.
Do you offer imaging such as X-rays or CT scans?
At this time, Caledonia Convenient Care does not perform imaging (such as X-rays or CT scans) on-site, but we are actively working to contract with a mobile diagnostic company to provide services like echocardiograms, EKGs, ultrasounds, and X-rays either in-clinic or in-home.
If you require imaging, those exams can easily be ordered to a local facility. If you require higher-level imaging such as a CT or MRI, we can quickly refer you to a partnering facility to ensure timely and appropriate care.
What makes Caledonia Convenient Care different?
Caledonia Convenient Care combines the personal touch of local, relationship-based healthcare with the accessibility of modern telehealth and flexible hours. The focus is on delivering compassionate, efficient care that meets patients where they are — at home, in the clinic, or virtually.
What if I’m not sure where to start?
That’s okay! Simply call or message the clinic, and Amanda will help determine the best next step — whether it’s an in-clinic visit, telehealth appointment, or home visit.
What insurances are accepted?
Caledonia Convenient Care’s goal is to make care accessible to as many patients as possible.
