As stated before, most band instrument will be provided base on our inventory. However, a personal purchase of an instrument is also fine. Please look into a reparable business for the instrument. Do they offer a warranty? Do they offer payment plans? Are they recommended by professional musicians or teachers? You are always welcome to contact the band staff for their consultation.
Many parents are wary on purchasing an expensive instrument with out knowing if their child will like it or stick with it. Most local music stores have a rental program that will take back in instrument and cancel their payment plan if that is the case.

Warning - When purchasing an instrument online understand that you buy what you pay for. Smaller instruments are usually cheaper due to their size or complexity. However there are many factors that go into a price of an instrument. Most inexpensive brands or non brands are made with poor craftsmanship, and/or with material that is not durable enough for constant playing, and/or can not be tuned or stay in tune. If your instrument needs repair most music stores will not repair a non brand name instrument due to not being able to warranty their work or by working on the instrument they can damage it it more. Finally, if the instrument comes in a variety of different colors that is a big red flag not to buy it.
