Uniforms
UNIFORM AND GROOMING GUIDELINES
(The grooming standards below apply whenever in uniform and also whenever participating in unit extracurricular activities.)
Men's Hair: Above the ears and around the neck must be tapered, not longer than ¾". Plaited or braided hair is not authorized.
Men's Facial Hair: Sideburns shall not extend below a point level with the middle of the ear. Mustaches shall not extend below the upper lip line. No other facial hair is permitted.
Women's hair: Must be clean, neatly shaped, and present a well-groomed appearance. Braids must not dangle free. Hair must be cut or pulled up so as not to extend below the horizontal line level with the lower edge of the back of the collar.
Jewelry:
Earrings: Not authorized for men. Women may wear one small gold or silver ball post in each earlobe.
Necklaces: Authorized but shall not be visible.
Rings: One per hand wristwatch/Bracelet: One of each is authorized, but no ankle bracelets.
Hair ornaments: Not authorized for men. For women: Barrettes must be similar to hair color. Conspicuous rubber bands, combs, and pins are not authorized.
T-Shirts: Required for men, either crew neck or V neck. Optional for women.
Socks: Shall be black plain knit or rib knit socks for men and women wearing pants. When wearing a skirt, hosiery shall be made of nylon and similar in color to the tone of your skin.
Civilian clothing shall not be worn with the uniform (other than in extreme cold weather when a civilian coat may be worn to and from school, but not at school).
