As a college preparatory school, we value assessment data and offer resources to support students as they complete college entrance exams. We administer the ACT at CAK each fall for juniors and seniors, and each spring for sophomores and juniors. We also administer the PreACT each fall for 9th and 10th graders, as a means of preparing them for this high-stakes college entrance exam. We offer a semester-long ACT Prep course to prepare students for the ACT, in addition to partnerships with many other local test prep companies.
All students in Grades 9-11 take the PSAT each fall to help prepare for high-stakes testing. Additionally, students can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT in their junior year. It is a graduation requirement that students take the ACT or SAT at least one time during their junior or senior year.
We utilize and partner with many local test prep companies in order to prepare our students for high-stakes testing. Check out our test prep recommendations below!
Micheal K. Smith is a local Test Prep Expert who has faithfully served CAK students for many years with much success!
Steve Koontz has a powerful story of why he chose to create a test prep company. He offers a special course just for CAK students in conjunction with our spring and fall ACT administrations.
This program includes both online classes and in-person classes at Pellissippi on Sunday evenings.
