Emotions during the teen years can feel overwhelming as they navigate new experiences, pressures, and responsibilities. Teaching teenagers healthy coping skills can make a world of difference. Whether they’re dealing with school stress, social pressures, or personal challenges, building skills like mindfulness, open communication, and self-care can empower them to manage these feelings constructively. Encouraging teens to seek guidance when they need it is also essential, as it reinforces the idea that it's okay to ask for help.
High school students begin the year with a retreat where they can bond with each other while participating in outdoor activities. Throughout the year, high school students have a myriad of opportunities to get involved in, including athletics, clubs, service opportunities, social gatherings such as Winter Formal and Prom, and summer opportunities, such as TN Governor's School.
