So now that visual information has made it into your brain, how do we move past "looking" to really see what's in front of us?
And which one's more important in this process -- the body, or the brain?

When we talk about "visual processing," that actually breaks down into a number of individual neurocognitive skills -- each of which can be trained! Occupational therapists with special training in visual processing can conduct data-validated assessments of how well you perform each of these skills, and design a course of exercises to gradually train the brain to do it "better," through neuroplasticity. As we go along, we'll fill out our understanding of the six basic types of visual processing here...
