Boots

Dear Ranch Families:

Boots will soon be coming to your house for a visit!

Our class mascot is Boots. Boots is a stuffed horse that travels in a bag with a special journal. Your child will bring Boots home on a Friday. He should be returned the following Monday along with a new journal entry about their time with him.

Boots gets to visit each Kindergarten family to find out more about his friends. Please include Boots in family activities when appropriate and let him take a nap in a safe place when he can’t come along.

He has a journal for you to record the exciting adventures that he has with your family. The journal entries will be shared with the class when your child brings Boots and his journal back to school. You may take pictures and include them on your journal pages. We would love to see Boots' adventures.

Enjoy Boots!

The objectives of his visit are:

1. To foster a sense of responsibility.

2. To provide your child with an experience to verbalize to

their class.

3. To provide a connection between school and home.

Boots comes with a journal. Please record his adventures and send them back to school. Please check the schedule included in his bag to see when your child should return Andy to school. Please don’t forget to bring him back on time—someone is waiting for a turn. Waiting for your turn is the hardest part.

Enjoy your visit with Boots! We can’t wait to hear about all his adventures!
