IN CLASS TECH REHEARSALS

Monday, June 10 - Thursday, June 13
At CDC, we have two unique "Tech and Dress Rehearsal" experiences: "In Class Tech Rehearsals" and "On Stage Dress Rehearsals". Both are mandatory and play an important role in helping dancers feel prepared and comfortable on stage.
These rehearsals take place at the ANDERSON STUDIO.
IN CLASS TECH REHEARSALS are all about the class-specific details and notes so dancers are better prepared for the On Stage Dress Rehearsal at the Cascade Theatre. This is when we incorporate the Lead Dancers into the routines to interact and practice with the class, practice the stage entrances and exits, and integrate the audio clips that start each scene.
June 3 - June 6: All dancers come to the Anderson studio at their designated tech rehearsal time dressed in regular dance attire with hair pulled back into a clean tight ponytail.
June 10-13: All dancers come to the Anderson studio at their designated tech rehearsal time performance ready: this means dressed and ready in their costume, tights, hair, and makeup. We call this the rehearsal FOR the rehearsal. This week is about ensuring all dancers have the correct color and style of tights and shoes, hair is done in the correct style, hair pieces are in the right spot...all of those last-minute details.
During both weeks of In Class Tech Rehearsals, dancers will have the chance to practice their routine several times and we will have office staff on hand for parents to ask any additional questions. Each class time will end a few minutes early the week of June 10-13 to accommodate dancers needing to change costumes before their next class rehearsal.
Most classes are scheduled during their regular class times but there are exceptions. One of the exceptions is our Preschool Classes (Tutus & Bowties + Minis). This is because these classes are a part of our "PRESCHOOL PRODUCTION" which is a 'mini production' within each show, and this is the first chance we have to rehearse them all together!
The last week of In Class Rehearsals are also the dancers' last 'regular' class periods of the dance season.
Our In Class Dress Rehearsal Weeks are filled with lots of excitement and is a great way to kick off recital!
