We are excited to announce our new training Supporting Wellness within the Multidisciplinary Team. This online training will help participants recognize the impact of child abuse investigations and victim's services work on professionals and teams, including secondary traumatic stress and burnout. This training will highlight risk factors for developing these challenges and offer practical strategies for building a sustainable and fulfilling career in child welfare, child abuse investigations, and victim services. The Registration is now live!
CACar will offer this training via Zoom. The training is 90 minutes in length. The dates and times for this training are listed below.

Sufna John, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She specializes in infant and early childhood trauma, with a special focus on intergenerational trauma. She directs several programs that focus on improving outcomes for children and families across the state of Arkansas who have experienced trauma, including co-directing the Arkansas Building Effective Services for Trauma (ARBEST) and UAMS Complex Trauma Assessment (CTA) programs, and serving as clinical director for the Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools (TRIS) program. Dr. John is passionate about partnering with systems (e.g., child welfare, multidisciplinary teams, mental health agencies, education settings) to develop and implement trauma-informed and equitable supports for children and caregivers who have experienced trauma.
