STAR 360 Information
Hello Cabrillo Point Academy Family,
We ask our families to take part in our internal online assessment called Star 360 to help support the mastery of skills for your child’s grade level throughout the year. The results will also give you and your homeschool teacher valuable insight to create a personalized learning plan for your student.
Let your student take it independently. Due to the nature of this style of testing, it is important for your student to take this on their own without any help or coaching. If you are sitting with them and know they are just guessing and don’t know the answer, it is better to mark the wrong answer. That way, the program will not increase the difficulty of questions.
Your student may be asked to retake the test if the scores are not valid.
Please have your student(s) complete these assessments.
Due Date: Friday, August 29, 2025
Your student can access the assessments on a computer or a fully charged tablet.
***Google Chrome is the suggested browser.***
Select times when your child is well-rested and does not feel rushed. Take only one per day. Your child may take breaks if they need to. Please see below for steps on how to pause the test.
Advise your student(s) that they may come across questions they don’t know and that is okay.

To pause and take a break:
Select Stop Test in the upper-right corner of the screen> then Resume Later.
If you select STOP TEST twice, rather than clicking Resume Later, all progress will be lost.
When the student logs back in and starts to take a test, it asks for a monitor password, which is admin.
A paused test will automatically be erased if not completed within 8 days of starting.
When your student completes the assessment, they will receive a pop-up letting them know they have finished.
Please encourage your students to take their time and do their best on Star 360. It is essential that students complete the assessment on their own and that the score is valid. This is a computer-adaptive assessment, and the test can take a few questions to find their level. Students who click through the test too quickly, or HST, or a parent who feels the test is NOT valid, will be assigned to retake the assessment.
After students take the assessment, your HST will review the results with you and add them to your Family Folder.

Please reach out to your HST to let them know if you have any questions, concerns, or log in issues. They will be sending you student score reports that will give you ideas for what concepts your student has already mastered and is ready to learn next.
