Every year, school counselors review each student's Individual Career & Academic Plan (ICAP), or "4-year plan." This personalized roadmap outlines students' high school coursework to ensure they stay on track for graduation. Following the Missouri School Improvement Plan (MSIP 6) guidelines, the ICAP helps students align their classes and school activities with their personal career goals, post-secondary plans, and unique pathway options. To request your (or your child's) ICAP, please complete the following form:
"Any change of schedule for the first semester should be made during the first three (3) days of the first semester; schedule changes for the second semester should be made during the last two (2) days of the first semester. Students entering a class after the third day in session will not receive credit without special permission from the principal" (Student Handbook, p. 28).
Schedule Change Request
Students may change their course schedule during the first two (2) days of the fall and spring semesters, unless stated otherwise.
Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee a schedule change. Factors such as course prerequisites, class size limits, elective availability, and teacher approval may prevent enrollment in a preferred course or section. The schedule change procedures are as follows:
Collect materials: Pick up a Schedule Change Request form and a copy of the CHS Master Schedule from Mr. Rawlings’ office.
Fill out the form: Write your current course schedule on the left side of the form and your desired schedule on the right side. You only need to list the classes you wish to change.
Obtain teacher approval: For any classes you are changing, you must get the initials of the respective teachers on the form. Teachers must approve the change before it becomes official—no exceptions.
Submit the form: Return your completed Schedule Change Request form to Mr. Rawlings’ office.

Credit Waiver
Review the Student Handbook (pages 34–35) for a full breakdown of waivable credits.
Students can waive one (1) unit of credit in math, science, social studies, or communication arts (Student Handbook, p. 34). This only applies to approved courses at Cabool High School or through our partnership with Ozark Mountain Technical Center (OMTC).
Note: You may only select one (1) credit to waive.
