We hope this will provide you with information to help you consider your career options. Please find the latest A Level and GCSE Subject Choice booklets in the drop down boxes at the top of this page. You will also find a number of useful videos in the A level and GCSE videos section of the website. These are well worth a visit for any subjects you are considering studying.
To support you on your journey, we have a variety of lessons, advice from Heads of Department, the A-Level Subject Booklet with information on the 25 subjects on offer in Thornhill College, University and Further Education presentations, Higher Level Apprenticeships information, useful websites, and most importantly, advice from our past pupils who recently, walked along the pathway you are beginning. They recognise the challenges you are facing and we welcome their support for our Thornhill community.
As a Thornhill student, you will be offered a range of exciting academic and extracurricular opportunities to support you on your career pathway. As the academic journey in Thornhill reaches the end of Y14, our students have made life-long friendships, developed their own beliefs, values and skillsets, and are ready to begin the next step of their journey.
Remember, advice is always available from our Careers Department, our Careers Advisors from the Careers Service, Northern Ireland, Marion and Kathryn, Subject Teachers and the Pastoral Team to help you on this journey.

For those who are embarking upon their GCSE choices, you will find resources and guidance in the Y10 Careers drop down box at the top of the page. Here you will find the latest GCSE Choices Booklet, a little information on how the process works, as well as an array of useful videos that may help with the process. We have also dedicated a section to GCSE videos which have been designed by the individual departments.
Please remember to choose the subjects that you enjoy and achieve well in. Ensure that you have researched your choices appropriately and have a discussion with your teachers about what the subject involves at GCSE level. This is an exciting time in your educational pathway and one in which you get to choose what you study next September.
