KS3 Art & Design

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up."

Pablo Picasso

Students in years 8-10 follow set schemes of work which include three main units each year. The schemes are designed to allow our students to experience use of a wide range of art & design based techniques, processes and materials. Over the course of three years they will develop skills and confidence in drawing, painting, printmaking, 2D and 3D design, ceramics and researching the work of artists and designers. They will become more informed about employment opportunities within the creative industries.

Our students are encouraged to think creatively, to develop original ideas and to express themselves.
