You do not have to have a GCSE in Health and Social Care to take it for A Level

Entry Requirements:

If you haven’t done GCSE Health and Social Care, we ask for at least a Grade C in GCSE English Language

If you have done GCSE Health and Social Care, we ask for at least a Grade C in GCSE Health and Social Care with a grade C in English Language and a generally good GCSE profile

OR

Merit in Occupational Studies Health Care (Level 2) with a grade C in English Language

Choosing Health and Social Care at this stage of the Options process demonstrates an interest and commitment to the subject and perhaps to a Health and Social Care-related Career. In August, there are usually more returning pupils looking to do A Level Health and Social Care, than there are places on the course. Now is the time to make your application if you want to guarantee your place, subject, of course, to meeting the entry criteria for returning to Holy Cross and for the subject.
