Friday 20th October - "Back to School" Google, Dublin
The Google for Education Team spent the day at The Foundry in Dublin's Google office for a day of learning and sharing best practice. Educators shared how they're using Chromebooks and Google Workspace to support teaching and learning in their schools.

7th June 2023 - EA/C2k Device Working Party
Congratulations to Dessie Tennyson, Chynel McCrink and Rachel McCarragher who were invited to Google, Dublin to share their inspirational stories of impact using Google for Education tools. The event was hosted by UK/Ireland Google for Education Lead Dean Stokes and UK/Ireland Adoption Program Lead, Jess Tyerman-Marsh.
They will kindly share their presentations with us in a webinar on 19th June, 2023.
Google Reference School Event - St. Patrick's Academy, Dungannon
St. Patrick's Academy, Dungannon hosted their inaugural #GoogleReferenceSchool Event on 5th June, 2023. This event wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of leaders from Google For Education; Jess Tyerman-Marsh and Zaitoon Bukhari. In addition, we are also grateful for the contributions from Texthelp, Edpuzzle, C2K, Education Authority (Northern Ireland) and the teachers from every corner of Northern Ireland who engaged with such enthusiasm.
During the event, Digital Lead, Danielle McKernan had the opportunity to present the school's digital vision, showcase their students' digital skills, discuss their exploration of AI, and share the school’s improvement plans using Naace SRF. The event proved a fantastic platform for Northern Ireland teachers to exchange inspiring digital practices and build stronger connections.
Sincere thanks to Edpuzzle's UK/Ireland lead, David Weston, for his captivating demonstration of video learning and formative assessments.
TextHelp’s Niamh McCollum and Richard Michael provided an engaging tour of OrbitNote, highlighting its feature-rich capabilities.
Jessica and Zaitoon thrilled us with new feature reveals and empowered us to consider sustainability by repurposing devices with ChromeOS Flex.
Chromebook Queen Rachel McCarragher shared her insights on the transformation of primary schools with Chromebooks.

Workspace skills - Professional Development Digital Skills training platform

Workspace skills are interactive, self-paced google tutorials which aid the professional development and learning of google tools in a flexible, personalised environment. All N.Ireland schools have access to the full package of workspace skills. By installing the chrome extension, the school digital lead can view engagement analytics as colleagues progress through the google tutorials. This hands-on session assisted N. Ireland teachers with the implementation of this platform for their school. Google for Education Trainer, Danielle McKernan also showcased how her school, St. Patrick's Academy, Dungannon have implemented the platform.

Google for Education hosted the C2k Device working party group in Dublin. The event was co-ordinated by leads Jessica Marsh and Dean Stokes (Google for Education UK/Ireland) and Danielle McKernan provided the digital skills teacher professional learning. She showcased innovative new features coming soon to Google workspace and shared a range of strategies for digital school improvement. It was also a wonderful opportunity to hear inspirational school stories of impact from three schools at the event who use Google for Education. A fantastic day #Connecting #Supporting and #Sharing! …it’s an exciting time for the N.Ireland Google Educator community.
