Here you will find some useful resources for the year ahead, including: videos, notes, extra worksheets and information on what we do in Y8 maths.
Everyday you will be expected to have with you: a pencil, pen (blue or black and red), rubber, sharpener and ruler (preferably 30cm).
Most of the work you will do in Year 8 will be without a calculator but you may need one for other subjects. We recommend a Casio fx-83GTX or Casio fx-991EX which is suitable for GCSE and A level Maths also.

Dr Frost Maths
Dr Frost Maths is a great website you can use if you want to revise, brush up on a particular topic or just generally try to improve your mathematical ability. You can search for questions by topic, watch videos on each key skill and earn rewards/trophies as you progress.
We have also created a 'Course' called Year 8 January Exam Revision which covers all of the topics you will meet in your January Exam. Your maths teacher will hopefully be able to talk you through how you should use this.
To sign up, click on the link above and enter your username which will be your school username with @c2ken.net (e.g. jbloggs123@c2ken.net).
Leave the password field blank and click 'login'. You will then be asked to create a new password which you should do there and then.
