To celebrate our school's 70th anniversary, we wanted to bring families into school and create an environment of 'togetherness', not only with the children in their classroom, but to also tie in the importance of 'family', particularly when so many of our parents and grandparents attended our school too.
We are fortunate to have incredible grounds at our school, although much of it is too 'hilly' to be used meaningfully by our children. We wanted to use this space better, to tie in the importance of sustainability and leave a connection to the school that will endure for decades to come. Through the help of the Mourne Heritage Trust we have been able to give each family , staff member and Governor, the opportunity to plant a tree, symbolizing growth and a lasting connection to our school.
Each photo below links to a gallery of our children with their parent, grandparent or best pals! Children were grouped with their eldest sibling's class. Thank you to everyone who made this project a wonderful reality!
