Portrait of a Graduate
A Portrait of a Graduate is a school's vision of what skills, competencies, and character traits students should develop by the time they graduate. It's a framework that outlines what a successful graduate looks like, focusing on a well-rounded education that goes beyond traditional academic achievement.
Every C-VUSD Elementary School student will develop self-esteem, empathy, respect, and responsibility. Students will transition to middle school with the skills to build and maintain positive self-esteem. They will develop the skills to empathize with peers. Our students will have respect for themselves, others, and their community. Elementary students will be responsible for managing their emotions through the use of effective coping skills and the ability to access appropriate tools for their own academic success.
