CPG - a respectful and inclusive approach to gender means:
Recognizing Diverse Identities: Acknowledging that individuals may identify as male, female, both, neither, or somewhere else along the gender spectrum.
Respecting Self-Identification: Allowing individuals to identify their own gender and using their preferred names and pronouns.
“KNOWN AS”
Ensuring Non-Discrimination: Preventing discrimination based on gender identity or expression in all aspects of shared living, from application processes to daily interactions and access to facilities.
Considering Gender-Inclusive Options: Where feasible and desired by residents, housing arrangements should be offered that are not strictly segregated by sex. This can create more comfortable and safe environments for transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals, as well as others who prefer such living arrangements.
Providing Safe and Accessible Facilities: Ensuring access to bathrooms and other communal facilities that respect the privacy and safety of all residents, which are all-gender options.
We have a broad range of residents who have complex identities and sexualities - all facilities are shared and for single use at a time.
We will tackle prejudice and discrimination through education, warning, and then eviction.
