How to Do Distance Learning at CIHS
For CIHS students they will have a regular schedule to follow which can be found in the menu. It is important for students to report to their Google Hangouts Meet classroom at the designated time. Students will receive and submit assignments through their Schoology course pages.
Philosophy of Distance Learning at Cambridge-Isanti High School
When we think about the needs of our students we know they work best in routine, have a need for strong connections and work well in structured environments. This is even more true as our state moves towards social distancing and isolation with complex variables that impact every family differently.
The primary difference between an eLearning Day (inclement weather) and Distance Learning is time. With an eLearning Day, we are confident that we will see the student(s) the next day. With Distance Learning, there is the very real possibility of an extended time apart. Therefore, while eLearning forms of instruction work for short closures, we believe it is important to begin Distance Learning with more structure in order to ensure our students are engaged in learning and relationship development at this time.

- District Resources - On this page you will find COVID-19 resources, emergency child care information, food service grab and go meal schedules, internet access options, sports and activities updates, and general information about Distance Learning.
- Tech Help Desk - Fill out the form on this site if you need tech assistance and someone will call or email you your responses.
- Schoology - This is where and how students will access curriculum resources, access assignments, and turn in assignments.
- Google Hangouts Meet - This is the program that will be used for students to attend live class sessions.
- Contacts - This is where you can search for a teacher or administrators contact information.
- Schedules - This is where you can find the schedule students will follow during distance learning and the trimester 3 teacher schedule.
- Parent Communication - This is where you can find archived parent communications that have been sent out via email.
- CIHS FAQs -This is where you can find frequently asked questions that pertain to CIHS only.
- Resource Links - This is where you can find a variety of resources that will help support teachers, parents, and students along this distance learning journey.
