By the Sea Productions presents “Other Desert Cities”

Set in Palm Springs in 2004, “Other Desert Cities” by Jon Robin Baitz centers on the wealthy, politically conservative Wyeth family. Their carefully maintained calm is disrupted when their daughter, a successful writer, announces her upcoming memoir that revisits a long-buried family tragedy. As debates over truth, loyalty, and memory erupt, old wounds resurface and each family member is forced to confront grief, love, and the cost of keeping secrets.

Lisa Woske directs this staged reading featuring Jill Turnbow and Tom Ammon as the parents, Maya Lara and Tyler Wilson as their adult children and Nicolette Tempesta as their aunt. “Other Desert Cities” runs one weekend only March 20-22, at 7pm Friday and Saturday evenings and 3pm on Sunday, at 545 Shasta Ave. Tickets are limited.
