Audition Details
Virtually all of our auditions consist of script readings. No need to memorize anything! No appointment is necessary; auditions are on a first-come, first-served basis. There is an audition application to complete on your arrival where you can note your interest in a specific role.
Headshots and resumes are appreciated but not required. We encourage actors of all backgrounds and experience levels to audition. We look forward to seeing you there!

Audition, Rehearsal and Show Location: By the Sea Productions - 545 Shasta Ave, Morro Bay, CA
Auditions Day 1: Saturday, February 21 | 1 pm
Auditions Day 2: Monday, February 23 | 6pm
A humorous confection divided in 4 parts, with each playlet led by a different director. All scenes take place in Room 203 of the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Synopsis:
Visitor from New York, directed by Nicolette features Hannah , a magazine writer and Billy, her ex-husband. The banter flies fast and furious as they attempt to decide who their teenaged daughter should live with.
The Visitor from Philadelphia, directed by Jonah unfolds as Millie arrives at the suite, catching her husband, Marvin, “en flagrante delicto” with a drunken Bunny, a lady of the evening.
Visitors from London, directed by Topher finds Academy Award nominee Diana returning from the awards ceremony empty handed to her husband, Sidney, whose homosexuality will be no comfort tonight.
The Visitors from Chicago, directed by Kira, are Mort & Beth and Stu & Gert, two couples ending a disastrous vacation they should not have shared.
Character Descriptions, ages approximate:
Hannah Warren - A workaholic Manhattan magazine writer, age 40s - 50s.
William Warren - Former husband of Hannah, a Hollywood screenwriter, age 40s - 50s.
Marvin Michaels - Nervous husband, 30s - 50s, who discovers a call girl in his hotel room bed the morning his wife arrives to join him.
Millie Michaels - Marvin's unsuspecting wife, age 30s - 50s.
Bunny – Call girl, Mostly comatose, any age 18+.
Sidney Nichols -50s-70s, British bon vivant bisexual , carefree and kind spirited (must have British accent)
Diana Nichols – 50s-70s, Sidney's long-time wife, a British star nominated for an Academy Award, tries for glamor and propriety, sometimes failing (must have British accent)
Mort Hollender - On a disastrous vacation with his wife Beth and best friends the Franklyns, 30s - 50s, more
physically imposing than Stu Franklyn.
Beth Hollender - Mort's wife, injured while playing tennis. 30s - 50s.
Stu Franklyn -- Mort's friend, thin. 30s - 50s.
Gert Franklyn - Stu's wife, injured (slightly) during the action of the play. 30s - 50s
