Debate Club

Public speaking and debate are lifelong skills which are developed through practice. Through the Debate Club students learn to research effectively and deliver sound arguments either supporting or opposing a motion; they learn to rebut effectively and to make spontaneous and astute points of information; and their critical thinking skills and general knowledge of the world are developed. Debate is open to all. Many students choose to participate in national tournaments, others do not, but the skills learnt in the club are invaluable for university and professional life.
