Students will be assessed using the English Language Arts Power Standards. These standards reflect the expectation of all ELA teachers at Viking Middle School and are based on the Common Core Standards. When checking Skyward, the gradebook will show if the student is Beginning, Developing, Proficient, or Exemplary in ELA skills that will be specified.
If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to find out what they missed. Please see Mrs. Cernohous about getting caught up.
If a student would like to redo any assignment or retake any test, they may do so, but they must discuss this with Mrs. Cernohous and formulate a plan that will show the additional learning they plan to do in order to improve their performance.
