This course provides students with all the foundational resources and knowledge they need to get started in the the field of quantum. The course is also a fascinating way to explore an emerging technology and apply your previous coding experience in a new way. The course is taught as a college course, adjusted for a high school audience. Weekly lectures are livestreamed on Sunday afternoons, but we will be watching the recorded lectures in class and completing all labs and coursework during the school day. There will also be a small amount of weekly homework.
Boulder High school is proud to offer this course free of charge in 2022/23, made possible with grant funding from IBM Quantum.
Students do not need a background in quantum computing or computer science to take this course - the only prerequisite is having taken a geometry or trigonometry course. Qubit by Qubit syllabus

Quantum computing has the potential to impact fields such as healthcare, finance, and cybersecurity. In this course, high school students will learn concepts that many students do not hear about until well into their undergraduate or even graduate education.
