In Advanced Placement (AP) Human Geography we explore how humans have understood, used, and changed the surface of Earth. You’ll use the tools and thinking processes of geographers to examine patterns of human population, migration, and land use. This is a year long course that is specifically tailored for freshmen students. It is similar to other advanced options such as Advanced LA 9 or Advanced Biology. Nationwide, this AP course is taught to Freshmen.
The main topics of study include: population, culture, political geography, agriculture, industrialization, economic development, cities and urban land use.
