Meet The Counselor

Ashley Friede

Counseling has always been a passion of mine and I was very fortunate to discover my career path at a young age. I grew up in Wisconsin (which explains my love of good cheese and a day on the lake) and moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and began graduate school at the University of Colorado at Denver. I have a Master's degree in Counseling and earned my license in School Counseling while also becoming a National Board Certified Counselor. I began my counseling career as a Mental Health Interventionist at the middle school level in St. Vrain Valley School District and moved into my current role at Superior in 2018. I am thrilled to be your counselor at Superior Elementary and to be a part of such a wonderful school!

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two kids, and our two dogs. I am always trying to find ways to soak in the Colorado weather so you will find me outside as much as possible. I love hiking, swimming, and spending time with friends.

I will be working part time this year as we welcome an additional counselor to our team.  I will be working with kindergarten, second, and fourth grades.  I am excited about another year working with our wonderful students, staff, and community!
