About Mrs. Rambow
My name is Kate Rambow, and I am thrilled to be your child’s fourth grade teacher!
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Winona State University in 2010, and my Master’s Degree in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity from the University of Colorado in 2014. This will be my 16th of teaching. I began my teaching career at Ryan in 2010; I taught 5th grade here for seven years before my family and I relocated to Minnesota. Our journey eventually led us back to Colorado, and I was fortunate to be able to return to Ryan. I have previously taught Kindergarten, third, fourth and fifth grades, and love being able to use my wide variety of experiences to help meet the needs of every learner in our room!
The Ryan community continues to inspire, uplift and challenge me to be a better educator every day. I strive to create a classroom culture of safety, belonging, excellence, and empathy for all students. My goal is for every child to feel cherished, celebrated, and valued for all the things that make them unique and special. We will have fun, be brave and work hard as we explore, learn, and discover together!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Chase, is a Dean of Students at Vikan Middle shool. My sons, Ridge (3rd grade) and Callum (Kindergarten), both attend Ryan. We spend our days outside exploring, hiking, biking, swimming, playing sports, and romping around with our dogs, Ruby (a golden retriever) and Norman (a german shephard, rottweiler, pitbull mix). We also love playing board games, reading books, cooking and playing music!
I’m forever grateful to be a rhino and am looking forward to partnering with you for a wonderful year ahead!
About Miss Melumad
My name is Lian Melumad, and I am thrilled to join Mrs. Rambow’s fourth-grade class as a student teacher this year. I am in my fourth year at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying Elementary Education, and I plan to pursue a career in Special Education after graduation. I grew up in New Jersey, and my experiences there have shaped my passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of student teaching and school, I am also a dance teacher, which has given me another avenue to connect with young learners and encourage creativity. In my free time, I love to travel, snowboard as much as I can in the winter, and try to be outside as much as I can!
Throughout the semester, I will work closely with Ms. Rambow to plan and teach lessons, support students in their learning, and contribute to a positive and engaging classroom environment. I am passionate about fostering curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and building strong, supportive relationships with students to help them thrive both academically and personally. I look forward to getting to know each student and working together with you to ensure a successful and rewarding school year. Thank you for welcoming me into your child’s learning community.
