Ms.Hewitt

Welcome to third grade! I am excited to begin my second year teaching third grade at Ryan. This is my tenth year at Ryan and my twentieth year in education. 

I began my teaching career in Oregon. I taught several different grade levels before moving to Colorado, where I received my Master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I am really interested in how the brain works and developmentally appropriate practices, and I try to incorporate that into my classroom environment. I also really enjoy getting to know each child as a unique individual and helping them discover the joy of learning.

I have two boys, ages 20 and 17, who both attended Ryan for part of their elementary years. We love to be outside as much as we can--hiking, biking, and exploring our beautiful state.
