"Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."
-- Winston S. Churchill
You will see a variety of marks in Schoology. Marks do not equal grades, rather they serve as feedback for students' work and progress throughout the semester.
Marks are based on Reading and Language Arts standards.
Marks may also be based on completion, depending on the task.
A student who is not regularly earning "Satisfies" and "Excellent" needs to develop their proficiency in those areas.
Students will set personalized learning goals that focus on our learning objectives and reflect on these throughout grading period (quarter/semester).
Quarter/Semester Grades will be a compilation of marks + reflection + progress on learning goals.
All students are encouraged to advocate for their learning and make meaningful revisions towards excellence.
