Class Announcements
Parents,
Crazy, but here we are in the final few days of the school year! Only in Colorado can an end of year field trip get cancelled due to snow! It was actually a lovely afternoon today and it was fun to see many of you join us for a special lunch in the cafeteria. We had choice time among the 4th grade rooms this afternoon and ended the day with yearbook signing. The kids did an amazing job of being flexible and enjoying spending time together as a grade level.
Tomorrow afternoon we will have our class point party and the weather looks like it will dictate another indoor adventure. We will be having a movie/PJ/ stuffie party. The children have voted to watch Chicken Little and they are welcome to bring a special snack to eat during the movie. I will be providing root beer floats or sprite floats to those children who would like one as a special treat. Please help me keep this a surprise!
I have a few items of note as we wrap up the school year that I would like to highlight:
I wanted to thank you all for your incredible partnership this year. This is an amazing community in which to work and your children thrive because of the types of priorities that you put in place as families Your support means so much and I feel very fortunate to get to work each day with your children.
Finally, we have worked hard on creating an environment this year where it is safe to take risks and make mistakes. That is where the most learning takes place and growth happens. I wanted to share a quote that Tanner shared at our last staff meeting that really sums up this message:
"I'm not as good as I want to be, I'm not as good as I'm going to be, but I am better than I was."
Have a wonderful summer!
Fondly,
Michelle
