Attends all practices (with a total accumulation of hours determined each year).
Preseason - returners attend at least half of the sessions, and newcomers attend all sessions.
Regular Season - attends all sessions - hours are made up with a coach if unable to attend practice. Maximum of 2 excused absences.
Attends all Saturday Sessions and Scrimmages
Schedules and attends a tutoring session with coaches (x # of hours) as a make-up for missed meetings.
Schedules and attends a minimum of three Zoom meetings with an attorney coach during the regular season.
Demonstrates exemplary effort during practice and coaching sessions
Will qualify after 2nd year of these activities.
Hours reset every year
Other Criteria for Consideration:
Shows good teamwork and sportsmanship.
Earns an award at the Regional or State Tournament.
Makes the State Tournament.
Leads a Newcomer boot camp session.
Participates in a preseason tournament (i.e. Providence Cup and/or Boulder Battle) or scrimmage.
Earns a certain amount of color points determined by coaches.
Organizes and/or attends peer-organized meetings (x # of hours).
1st-year students as Seniors will garner consideration from coaches for exemplary participation and performance.
Coaches will take any of these additional factors into consideration when awarding letters.
Mock Trial End of Year Awards:
Eagle Feather Award - awarded for dedication to the Mock Trial program after year 4.
